You'll notice that the Other News portion of the site is missing! What happened to it? Don't worry, I migrated that content over to a new blog-driven site entitled...


I have a few reasons for doing this. First, I noticed that the non-MUSCLE stuff was taking over the site, especially after my latest redesign. Second, the non-MUSCLE stuff was pretty much a blog anyway, so it makes sense to separate it from this page and go all-out bloggy with it.

The design of The Dork Dimension is a little bit nubs at this point. But, as with this page, I'll be toying with it to tweak it into something sweet. And all the content of the non-MUSCLE portion of this site (like the reviews) will eventually be migrated over there. But if you need to get to the non-MUSCLE portion, I've left it active until everything is migrated over. Just go here.

Hopefully it doesn't seem like I'm throwing this MUSCLE page under the bus. Not a chance... I'm just restoring the 100% MUSCLE-ly goodness of this site, while expanding the non-MUSCLE blog content. Anyway, check out The Dork Dimension! I hope you dig it!

I posted a review of the new MUSCLE-inspired line from October Toys: Z.O.M.B.I.E.s! As you all may know, I'm a huge zombie nut, and of course, I'm a huge MUSCLE fan, so this line sounds like it could be right up my alley. But you'll never know for sure unless you read on!

Since the trend these days is to promote online social networking, I've decided to jump on the Facebook bandwagon! This new page is more or less a Facebook portal onto Nathan's MUSCLE Page, but it has a lot of cool features like Discussion boards, The Wall, and the capacity to add Fan Photos. I updated the Black Hole Sunshine and Spinning Head Ashuraman coverage with a few more testimonies. First, this is from Justin about a SHA figure he owned:

I originally bought the figure in a 4-pack (as a kid). I'm pretty sure I got it at a Boston Store in Milwaukee.

And this is from Robert regarding BHS:

I had one of these black hole sunshines as a kid too. I lived in Fremont, CA at the time.

Another ten MUSCLEs have been updated in the Archive! There are a lot of cool figures this time, like Ukon, Harigorasu, Personalman, and Wolfman. Also, I just noticed that #135 has eyes on his belt! Nifty!

I managed to squeeze another update to the MUSCLE Archive this weekend! There are a lot of figures with really interesting details in this batch. I'd say that my pick for the most interesting is #116. And speaking of "116", there are only 116 MUSCLEs to go before the Archive update is completed!

Another ten figures have been updated in the MUSCLE Archive! I think the most interesting MUSCLE this go-around is #88 (Armstrong). I never realized how much of that stippling texture he had before.

The updates trudge on! This time, I've updated the archive to #70. I thought the most interesting MUSCLE to see at this scale was #68 (Zord). He has plenty of neat little details that I never really appreciated before.

I've started the long, arduous process of updating the MUSCLE image archive. The old MuscleUK pictures were awesome, but today's monitors demand images in larger resolutions. The format of the archive is the same, but now you can click on an image to zoom-in. I'm also using a more MUSCLE-y background to display the figures. I've only completed the first 20 figures, but I hope to update about 10-20 MUSCLEs a week. Check it out!

I was shamed by Soups into making RSS feeds for the news on Nathan's MUSCLE Page! Actually, the RSS feeds were always there, the blog pages just weren't formatted well enough for me to include on the site. There are still a few formatting problems that I'll have to iron out, but the feeds look good enough for now. Anyway, click on the links below to subscribe to the feeds. You'll also see subscription links at the bottom of the news columns. If you have any suggestions or problems, just let me know!

If you look to the column at your far right, you'll notice that I implemented an RSS reader for the Little Rubber Guys Forums that displays the most recent topics. I've made a few small-scale updates throughout the site in the past week or so. First, I added Msugarpants' pictures of Black Hole Sunshine to the Super-Rares page. His pics are a nice, if perverse, addition to the BHS coverage.

I also added Johnny's pic of the 4-packs with the green board game figures to the Mega Match Board Game coverage, to prove that the green board game figures were, in fact, available in other MUSCLE assortments.

And finally, I added shots of the Satan Cross card from the Chojin Power line, courtesy of Tara (the new pics are under the heading "Chojin Power Packaging"). You'll notice that Satan Cross was actually part of a second wave of figures. Thanks to everyone who contributed!

I added a page featuring the MUSCLE Hiway Hauler. It covers some basic Hauler info, but I primarily wanted to provide a way for customizers to easily find and download the Hauler logo I photoshopped some time ago. The logo has recently been updated, so if you're using the old one, you may want to check it out!

I decided to revisit an oldie but goodie today. I updated the MUSCLE Builder with 3 more characters: Teaman, Smiley-Faced Man, and PuyoPuyo! That brings the total number of possible combinations up to 24,336! As always, some parts work better together than others, so be sure to experiment a bit until you find a good combination. Check out Super-Puyo to the right. Have fun!

Update 11/21/2007: I noticed that Smiley's, Puyo's, and Teaman's parts weren't playing well with the other MUSCLEs, so I tweaked them a little. Give them a try!

I finished the updates to the 28-pack coverage! Updates since the last announcement include: thumbnails of each figure in each 28-pack; a high-resolution scan of the 28-pack poster; Thug Busters and Cosmic Showdown packaging images; and some miscellaneous images like the tray and a stack of all four.
